Poster printed in red and black letterpress on yellow paper, including a photograph of Sonny Tuft’s head, the name of the theatre, title of the play and the cast, advertising The Shadow of a Manby Paul Erikson at the Brighton Theatre Royal, 26 May 1949, starring Sonny Tufts. The names of the producers John C. Mather and W.H. Williams appear in red typeface, along with the name of Routledge & White (Plays) Ltd. The names Sonny Tufts and Iris Russell are in black, the other names are in red – the actors Brenda Hogan, Robert Raglan and Henry Mollison, the director Paul Erickson, and ‘Settings by Vic’ The name of the printer is in the bottom left-hand corner: ‘Printed by Echo Press Ltd. For Payne-Jennings Publicity Ltd.’ The date is printed in black in the top right-hand corner: ‘WEEK COMMENCING Monday, May 26’ with year 1949 added in black pen.
