Production
Pat Gilmour in 'Artists at Curwen' dates this print to 1969, but the V&A acquired this impression in 1959. In a conversation with a V&A intern in 1988 Stanley Jones recalled that during the pilot phase of Curwen Studio, which was set up out of Curwen Press, in 1958/59, they made a print from the same image. He suggested that it should be described as a 'unique experimental print' . as such it would have been published by Robert Erskine.
