Marie Taglioni was one of the most celebrated ballet dancers of the Romantic era. This print is one of five produced by J. Wilkinson in 1831 to celebrate Marie Taglioni's most famous roles, the other four being Flore, La Tirolienne, La Napolitaine and La Bayadere.
