Place of origin |
This pattern book comprises wallpaper designs inspired by "the artefacts of primitive cultures", according to the introduction. The patterns are predominantly earth-toned geometric abstract patterns with names such as Totem, Coptic, African Queen and Bantu, which suggest that they are derived variously from Native American, Egyptian, and African cultures. Others are clearly inspired by Mayan and Australian Aboriginal motifs.
