Daguerreotype of a three-quarter length portrait of a man, seated, wearing a high-collared shirt with a dark cravat, waistcoat and jacket. The chain around his neck is gilded. This daguerreotype is in a gold-coloured mount with a rectangular window. This is glazed and in a leather-coated wooden case lined with velvet. There are two metal hook fastenings on the right edge.
