Hand-tinted daguerreotype of a half-length portrait of a young woman wearing a lace blouse and lace cuffs under a lilac dress. A gold key sits at her waist, and this is gilded along with her brooch and a chain around her neck. RPS notes identify the sitter as Miss G H Brocker. The daguerreotype is in a gold-coloured mount with a rectangular arched window, and glazed. This is in a leather-coated wooden case lined with red velvet. There is a metal hook fastening on the bottom edge.
