Description from the acquisition register

Parasol, with cover of green silk damask, woven with a floral pattern, and having a border woven with the rose, thistle and shamrock; there is a fringe and lining of white silk. The handle is of ivory, carved in relief with dragons, birds and flowers.

The cover, English; the handle, Chinese; middle of the 19th century.
