Man’s circular cloak of brown ribbed worsted, lined with brown worsted twill, with a 5½-inch (14 cm) cape [flat collar]. The cape, front edges, and lower edges of the centre back seam are embroidered with partially and fully wrapped silver and silver gilt filé and purl, couched in a pattern of large scrolling stems and abstract flowers and leaves. The neck is bound with ⅞-inch (2.1 cm) wide woven lace [braid] of brown silk and silver filé, with a frog and tassel on the right side and a loop on the left for fastening.
