Artist/Maker

Little Inventors is a company which helps children see their imagination come to life. It encourages creativity and self-belief; it allows children to work alongside professionals and take control of the creative process. Wendy Ridley, age 11 from Sunderland created this innovation as a means of fun transportation for her family, as an activity that everybody could take part in.
AMAP, in Sunderland, as part of the University of Sunderland’s Faculty of Technology realised Wendy’s invention using their Formula student race team. The Family scooter allows a family of four to all participate in the same activity at the same time. Each individual section of this vehicle has adjustable handlebars to accommodate for the different heights of each individual.
