In this early design drawing, Adrian Smith explores variations on the blocked bundling masses of the tapering skyscraper which in 2005 was known as Kingdom Tower, but has since been renamed Jeddah Tower. Construction began in 2013 and completion is estimated for 2020 when it will be the tallest structure in the world, higher than Smith’s Burj Khalifa, Dubai.
