This is a sketch by Smith made early in the design stage for the 201 Bishopsgate building and Broadgate Tower. The importance of this drawing is that it resolves placing the buildings over the the wide expanse of railway tracks at the mouth of Liverpool Station. Drawn in plan, in blue and black ink, the criss-cross pattern represents the atrium between the buildings, with the pink grid signifying the proposed raft over the rails.
