Physical description | Gold, crescent shaped, halo. The halo extends into an upright crescent shape at the front, it is supported on a wire frame covered with translucent silk chiffon[?] and stiffened with card. One end of the halo extends into a point, the other end is rounded. It is also linked with two wide lengths/straps of gold ribbon (one runs across the base of the halo and another across the centre back). There is evidence to suggest that these straps originally contained elastic. |
