Poster from Edition Olympia 1972, third series

Albers' well-known style of superimposed rectangles and squares of colour have influenced many artists and designers. In this context, his simple abstraction could easily be interpreted as a swimming pool. At the same time, we might draw a connection between perfection of form and the perfection of skills showcased by the Olympic Games.
