Nicolò Paganini (1782-1840) was an Italian virtuoso violinist. The date of this print, June 3rd 1831, was Paganini's hotly anticipated official debut in London. Surrounding him are his astounded musical ensemble, including violinist Nicolas Mori, cellist Robert Lindley, double bass player Domenico Dragonetti and a keyboard player, probably Sir George Smart, with conductor Michael Costa standing to the right.
