The production of Shakespeare's Macbeth formed part of Johnston Forbes-Robertson's actor-management of the Lyceum. The production saw Forbes-Robertson play Macbeth, with Mrs Patrick Campbell as Lady Macbeth, Gerald Lawrence as Malcolm and Robert Taber as Macduff.

Print showing scenes from a production of Macbeth, at the Lyceum, 1898. The print shows seven scenes, with four on the top row and three at the bottom. The main central scene on the bottom row shows Macbeth in court being haunted by a ghost. Macbeth is played by Johnston Forbes-Robertson, and he sits in profile on his throne shielding himself from the ghost. Mrs Patrick Campbell played Lady Macbeth and is standing next to him, with her hand raised towards the crowds in the court.

Other scenes include 'The Death of Macbeth', Macbeth and the witches and a portrait of Lady Macbeth.
