Olivia, written by W.G. Mills is a dramatisation of The Vicar of Wakefield, originally written by Oliver Goldsmith in ca.1761. The play was highly successful, and was staged during Henry Irving's actor-management of the Lyceum Theatre. The performance saw Irving as Dr. Primrose and Ellen Terry as the title character, Olivia.
