This print comes from Faithfull's ‘Jettison’ series. The image is inspired by a Tornado military fighter crash neat Torness Nuclear Power Station. The pieces of the plane’s wreckage are presented as though they are pieces of an Airfix kit. There are two related artist's books, Jettison 1 and Jettison 2, in the National Art Library.
