ANDY LOMAS (born 1967)
Cellular Form 1700070025
UK, 2013
To create his images of cellular forms, Andy Lomas wrote a program that simulates growth in nature. Each form starts as a small ball of cells that grow and evolve according to a set of rules imposed by the program. Many different organic structures emerge from small variations, creating forms reminiscent of plants, corals, internal organs and micro-organisms.
