Physical description
Corset bodice and matching mermaid skirt composed of stitched together strips of narrow braid, made from linen threads stiffened and treated to give a straw or horsehair effect, the bodice with strips of leather, large brass eyelets threaded with length of soft, unstiffened silk tulle. The mantle of lightweight black cotton, with satin ribbon ties.
