The publishers periodically revitalised the market for the books. The printer’s proof shows all 12 new colour plates, cover and endpapers for The World of Pooh of 1956, which combined both storybooks. The American publisher, E.P. Dutton first commissioned this set. Letters show that Shepard was unhappy with the planned colouring by Warren Chappell and provided his own. A year later, Dutton commissioned more for The World of Christopher Robin, which combined the two verse books. [This label text applies to E.720-1973 and E.776-1973 (a cover design for The World of Christopher Robin) along with a proof sheet of colour images to The World of Pooh on loan, and a copy of each book](09/12/2017 - 08/04/2018)
