The scene takes place in the court with stone steps at the centre of stage, with two tall windows and a set of four chairs at the back of stage. On the left is the Queen in modern dress sitting on the steps looking towards Polonius. In the centre is Polonius in a black suit and pinstriped tie, holding a letter and wiping his eyes with a handkerchief. To the right is the King, wearing a black suit with pinstriped trousers and a white waistcoat. |
