The landscape photograph includes Dorothy Massingham as the Queen, Frank Vosper as the King, A. Bromley Davenport as Polonius and Colin Keith-Johnston as Hamlet. The scene takes place in the court with stone steps at the centre of stage, with two tall windows and a set of three chairs at the back of stage. By the steps, on the right side is Hamlet in modern dress wearing a black suit, standing in profile and reading a book. At the centre is Polonius in a black suit and pinstriped tie. To the left are the King and Queen standing next to each oter looking towards Hamlet. |
