Photographic print of a scene from a production of Hamlet, at the Kingsway Theatre, August 25th 1925. The portrait image shows an interaction between the King and Queen played by Frank Vosper and Dorothy Massingham. The stage includes a set of steps, suit of armour and tapestries on the walls. At the bottom of the steps on the left side the king in modern dress, wearing a silk dressing gown with a white bowtie and shirt. On the right, on the steps above him is the Queen wearing a long dark dress that reaches to the floor.
