Photographic print of a scene from a production of Hamlet, at the Kingsway Theatre, August 25th 1925. The landscape image is of a scene between Ophelia and Laertes. The stage includes a dark curtain backdrop with a desk at the centre of the image. On the right, sitting at the desk is Laertes, played by Robert Holmes. He is in modern dress wearing a tweed suit and checkered tie. He is writing on a piece of paper at the desk. Standing at the other side of the desk on the left is Ophelia played by Muriel Hewitt. She is also in modern dress wearing a white dress with a pearl necklace. She is standing in profile looking towards Laertes in front of her.
