Photographic print of a scene from a production of Hamlet, at the Kingsway Theatre, August 25th 1925. The landscape images shows a scene taking place in a graveyard with white graves in the background and a dark curtain backdrop. At the fore of the image are three characters in modern dress. On the left is Horatio played by Alan Howland, he is wearing a black suit with a grey hat and is standing in profile leaning down towards the gravedigger at the right of the image. The next character to the right is Hamlet played by Colin Keith Johnston, he is wearing a dark grey suit with high white socks and is sitting by the open grave looking to the skull that the gravedigger is holding. The gravedigger played by Cedric Hardwick, he is wearing a white striped shirt with a black waistcoat and bowler hat. He is crouching by Hamlet and holding the skull in his left hand.
