Photographic print of a scene from a production of Hamlet, at the Kingsway Theatre, August 25th 1925. The landscape images shows the prologue to the play scene. There are a total of 21 male and female characters in modern dress sitting at each side of the image as an audience. In the centre are a further two characters with their back to camera sitting on a bench. All the characters are looking up towards a woman on a stage wearing s lightly coloured blouse with a white cloak and white hat. She is standing facing the central two characters with her arms stretching outwards at both sides. Behind her is a painted backdrop of a river with boats and buildings in the background.
