The stage design is of a church with painted walls and a stone floow and walls. The scene shows two characters in modern dress on stage. On the right is Hamlet, played by Colin Keith-Johnston. He is standing wearing a black suit and dark hair with his left foot raised on a step in the church. He is turning to his right, looking towards the Queen, played by Dorothy Massingham. She is wearing a long black dress with black shoes and circular necklace. Her dark hair is curled and short reaching her neck, she is sitting on a seat with her left arm resting behind her and her right arm touching the side of her head.
