In 2013, the National Theatre commissioned a series of posters to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Theatre at the Old Vic. The artists included David Carson, Sir Michael Craig-Martin, Graphic Thought Facility, Paula Scher and Jamie Reid.

Sir Michael Craig-Martin (CBE, RA) is a conceptual artists and painter. Craig-Martin has exhibited work at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Serpentine Gallery, the Whitechapel Gallery and Tate Modern in London. His illustrations of everyday objects depicted in vivid colour have made his work highly collectible.
