Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
The rebel Italian designer, Franco Moschino, was famous for his playful designs. His clothes showed a sense of humour and fun. For example, the Museum has a handbag covered in 'melted chocolate' (T.582:1&2-1996) and a skirt constructed from bras (T.243-1989). He even injected humour and wit into a man's tie which he designed for the menswear section at the London department store Liberty's. The silk fabric is woven with diagrams showing how to tie a tie.
