Object history | This fabric design reflects the influence of Lucienne Day's pioneering textile pattern entitled 'Calyx'. Shaw has incorporated a series of starbursts into this design, entitled 'Homecraft'. It was advertised in 'House & Garden' (February 1955) and similar designs by Vivien Shaw were marketed in the October 1955 issue of the same magazine as 'the latest ideas in modern design and colour'. |
Bibliographic reference | This design was acquired along with four other designs by Shaw for Grafton, all featuring floral, leaf and geometric designs in a variety of bold colourways. |
