Beech legs are tenoned into a strut which is screwed into the table top, the joint reinforced by a steel collar. The top is formed of three planks joined by loose butterfly tongues.

The table top is made from a tropical hardwood which appears to be agba. The butterfly tongues are of a dark-stained hardwood, probably also agba.
