Mug, of soft-paste porcelain painted in underglaze blue, nearly cylindrical in shape with a loop handle; painted with equestrian figures, a lady and gentleman on horseback, in a landscape with ruined buildings; on the handle are sprays of flowers and a butterfly.

The equestrian figures are copied from an engraving after a drawing by R. Walker, published in The Ladies' Amusement, Plate 33
Purchased by Lady Charlotte Schreiber from Solomon, London, for 14 shillings in January 1871.
Acquired as Bow porcelain.

Considered to be Vauxhall (Crisp & Sanders factory) by Dr Bernard Watney, 1991.
