The photograph features a scene in which Brough and McIntosh are standing side by side and are embracing one another. Brough is positioned to the right and her gaze is directed slightly upwards, McIntosh is looking forwards, towards a point in the distance. The print is mounted on paper and is embossed with the initials of the photographer Frederick H. Evans in the bottom left hand corner.
