Cabinet card portrait of Julia Neilson and Herbert Beerbohm Tree in a scene from A Man's Shadow, at the Haymarket Theatre, 1889. The photograph features a full length image of both Neilson and Tree. They are shown in three quarter profile, turned to face one another. Tree is positioned on the left of the image, he is standing with his left hand raised upwards to his chest and his right hand resting on the back of the chair beside him. Neilson, positioned to the right of the image, is standing which her hands by her sides. She is looking slightly upwards towards Tree, who is returning her gaze.
