The two figures are shown seated side by side on a chaise longue. Ashwell is positioned to the left, her hands clasped in her lap and her gaze directed towards Hallard. Hallard is positioned to the right, his body is turned towards Ashwell, his right hand resting on Ashwell's clasped hands. The print is mounted on cream paper stamped with the Dover Street Studios logo.
