The freedom to choose

Acne's gender neutral pants are neither stereotypically masculine or feminine. They are a utilitarian, comfortable and in tune with increasingly liberal perceptions of the fluidity of gender.

Women have worn men's underwear for some time, preferring its fit and fabrics to traditional lingerie styles. The men's fashion and style magazine GQ flagged this up as a minority trend in 1984.
