The photograph features a scene with Lena Ashwell as Irene, Frances Ivor as Lady Wycherley and Dennis Eadie as Sir Peter Wycherley. Eadie is positioned at the far left of the image, his back to the viewer. He is dressed formally, a top hat held in his left hand and his right hand resting on his cane. Ivor is positioned to his right, facing towards him, her right arm outstretched. Ashwell is standing in the background of the scene, surveying the figures. She is positioned behind a table, with her right hand resting on the back of a chair. The print is mounted on cream paper stamped with the Dover Street Studios logo.
