The photograph features a scene showing a room lined with wooden panelling, in the foreground is a table, with benches either side. Mc Carthy is shown in profile, standing to the left of the table, Brewer is shown seated in a high back chair positioned to her right. He is slumped forward, his gaze downcast. Mc Carthy is standing with both arms upraised and outstretched, her gaze is directed downwards towards Brewer.
