Bronislava Nijinska admired the ballerina Anna Pavlova and choreographed several divertissement for members of her company in 1929-1930 when dancers previously with Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes joined her. Correspondence in the Nijinska Archive (now housed in the Library of Congress, Washington suggests she created solos Le Petit Nègre to music by Claude Debussy for Léon Woizikowsky and Dance with a Hoop to music by Franz Liszt for Felia Doubrovska but there is no evidence that they were ever performed.
