A man's coat and waistcoat of mauve woollen broadcloth. The coat has a round neckline with a standing collar (7.5 cm). The shaped, two-piece sleeves are close-fitting and reach to the wrists, ending in small round cuffs (10 cm). The front edges curve from neck to hem with narrow skirts set in one pleat (2 cm) at the side back. There is a oblong pocket flap at hip level on each side of the front. The pockets and sleeves are lined with bleached linen, the pocket flaps, fronts, collar and back skirts with ivory silk twill, the back with cream twill worsted. There are 8 covered buttons on the right side from neck to pocket flap, with 8 corresponding buttonholes worked in mauve silk twist - the 3rd to 5th buttonhole from the top are cut. There are 3 buttons under the pocket openings and 3 on each cuff.
