  • High boots are out in force With the first of the really cold weather, high boots are out in force and some of the most unusual are the fitted front lacing ones. Designed in Paris by Carvil and on sale in London are:- (1) A near-knee-length suede boot in coffee beige, or black, 18gns. (2) A shorter black-and-white patent boot - 12gns. (3) A dashing Courgettes-type boot with two front zips in white leather or a variety of pastel suedes, 16gns. And for cold-weather comfort in headgear, there's a superbly tailored balaclava, shoulder fitted and front zipped - by Malyard - to order in any fabric, from 7gns.
