Photographic portrait of Dorothy Black as the Stepdaughter and Dorothy Holmes as the Leading Lady, together with another character in Six Characters in Search of an Author, by Luigi Pirandello, at the Globe Theatre, 1928. The photograph features a full length image of the three figures. Black is shown sitting on the edge of the table, she is smoking a cigarette which the male figure at the centre is lighting for her. To their right is the Leading Lady, Holmes, she is clasping her fur coat around her and glancing over her right shoulder towards Black.
