Physical description
Photographic portrait of Six Characters in Search of an Author at the Globe Theatre, 1928. The image features an overview of the stage. Figures are grouped on either side of the stage, which is filled with chairs. The figures are looking towards two women positioned at the centre of the scene, in front of a doorway. The pair are shown embracing, the younger woman resting her head against the shoulder of the older figure, whose arms are wrapped protectively around the younger women's head and shoulders.
