Six figures are depicted who have been variously identified as caricatures of the following, from left, Mabel Beardsley as the nude figure, Max Beerbohm as an aged faun (also posited as being Henry Harland or Beardsley himself), Oscar Wilde with vine leaves in his hair and legs bound together, Sir Augustus Harris wearing a suit in the centre, Richard Le Gallienne masked in the background, and a ballet dancer in white thought to be Adeline Genée.
