Place of origin |
Line block print of a half-dressed Salome seated languidly in front of a mirror, with four figures in attendance. One is dressing her hair and wears a black mask with a pointed nose and a large collar. Another small androgynous figure stands naked holding a drinks tray with a jug, cups, and sugar bowl etc. A nude figure sits in the foreground and is possibly masturbating, while a draped woman behind them looks down towards their lap. Both of her hands are also suggestively placed, with one on the extended neck of a cello with further innuendo suggested by a plucked instrument.
