Print showing Act I, Scene IV, from The Merry Wives of Windsor, December 26th 1793. The print features the interior of a room. Two paintings are mounted on the walls and an open cupboard containing a skull, pots and jars is visible in the background. In the foreground two men are fighting, one kneeling on the floor, the other leaning over him. Another man is positioned behind these figures at the left hand side, watching the fight, as in an additional figure, a woman, who is positioned close behind the central figures.
