Print entitled 'Juliet and Nurse', showing Act 2, Scene 5, from Romeo and Juliet, 1797. The print features a view of a room, in the foreground is a sofa, on which Juliet and the Nurse are seated, a view of distant buildings and trees is visible beyond the balcony behind them. Juliet, dressed in white, is shown in profile, embracing the nurse and gazing towards her. The nurse, whose expression is stern, is dressed in black. She is refusing to meet Juliet's gaze, and not returning the embrace. Instead her right hand is resting on her knee, whilst the other grasps a feather trimmed fan.
