Two figures, one male, Romeo and one female, Juliet, are shown embracing their gazes directed towards one another. Juliet is shown in profile, positioned within the stone edge of the balcony, whilst Romeo stands beside, and beyond, the stone boundary, a rope ladder hanging beside him.
