A male figure, Friar Lawrence, is positioned to the right, he is standing, holding a small flask in his hand. A woman, Juliet, positioned towards the right centre of the image, and shown seated, is gazing up at him. Her right hand is upraised, gesturing towards her chest, whilst in her left hand she is holding the hilt of a small dagger.
