Worn by Edward R. Jones when aged 4 year old and captured in a studio photograph taken in Mill Hill, London in 1918. The two-piece velvet suit is made by the British firm D.H Evans Co. Ltd, Oxford Street, London. This is a ready-to-wear suit, machine made and mass manufactured during the First World War. The suit along with white waistcoat, bow-tie and photograph of Edward wearing the aforementioned outfit were kept by Edward’s family and given to the V&A Museum of Childhood.
